Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for considering writing an NGC Map Tutorial. Our aim is to provide the cartographic community with valuable content, and we would greatly appreciate your contribution. โ€” Anyone can submit an NGC Map Tutorial!

1. Tell us about the topic

Please fill out this form to tell us about the topic on which you want to write! We will check that your topic:

  • is related to map-making
  • aligns with our Code of Conduct
  • has not already been covered in an NGC Map Tutorial

If we confirm, you can start writing!

2. Write the tutorial

You should write your tutorial using the template (we will send you once your topic is confirmed).

3. Submit your tutorial for review

Once you are finished, send us your draft (preferably via Discord in a private group message or via E-mail). We will ask someone from a related field to review your draft to ensure the quality of the NGC Map Tutorials. The reviewer might ask you to change some parts of your tutorial.

Additionally, we will check that your tutorial follows the Code of Conduct and that the images and content you use are correctly credited.

We then send you the suggestions for modification. The whole reviewing process can take several weeks.

4. We publish your tutorial!

Once everything is ready, we will publish your tutorial on the NGC website! We will also advertise it in a LinkedIn post, based on what you will share in your template. If you have any questions or concerns, you can send messages in the #map-tutorials channel of the Discord server.
